About The OwnerHello My name is Thomas Hilmer. I felt is was necessary to give my customers a little insight on who I really I am. I am a 4th generation machinist. I started my machining career when I was almost 16 years old . My machining career was strongly encouraged by my father who also was a machinist and aerospace technician for over 25 years. I had attended school for machining for three years to learn manual machining and tool and die work, during that time I had also attended night school to further my knowledge of this vast field. After school each day I worked at a local machine shop and was taught CNC Programming. When I had finished my schooling I was awarded a certification and a diploma from the school in which I had attended. I had always wanted to own my own business but at the time that I had finish school I felt it was necessary for me to work for someone else in the field before I opened up my own shop. After working in the area I grew up in for several years I had relocated to upstate Pennsylvania were I reside today. A few years latter I had decided to open my own shop. To be honest with you getting started was not easy,. After the first year things got a lot better though, I had started making chastity belts and BDSM gear and selling them over the internet. In 2003 I had meet Bill Jones. At that time I was looking to further my product line . In time Bill and I had became good friends and talk very frequently. I would say about a year after meeting Bill I had started making polycarbonate plugs for the orders I sold and doing repairs and adjustments in my own shop. This continued almost three years until his passing. At the time of bills passing I had created over 10 styles of stainless chastity devices and over 300 different bdsm products. It was a real shock to hear the news of his passing, I felt as if I lost a member of my own family. In the days following his passing I had a lot of mixed emotions about what to do. At first I almost did not continue making belts and bdsm gear but my drive to never give up had brought me back to reality. From the time of my taking over the company and introducing it to the world wide market I had gotten once again inspired to expand our product line into what you see today.
My personal mission as the owner of La Ceinture De Chastete and the development process of our new products
I personally had done hundreds of hours of extensive research and made countless prototypes to develop the high quality products you see on our sites today such as our hip belts and drop front collars. I am a firm believer that every product should be tested extensively before offering it to our customers. At the present time we have over 20 new products that we are in the process of developing and testing . For each product that is developed there is a whole line of areas that must be covered before we introduce that product to our customers. I will not allow my company to introduce any product to our customers unless it is Secure, Reliable, Quality Made, Comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and can be offered at an affordable price. I am not in this business to make a mint, I am in this business because I enjoy the work and love the people I work and deal with on a daily basis.
